The board dues are paid on an annual basis, and are due before December 31st of each year. The MLS fees are paid semi-annually, and are due before December 31st, and June 30th each year. For members joining during the year, dues and fees are prorated monthly. You are required to pay at the time of your New Member Appointment when you join. New Member Orientation is a basic run-through of our Board’s standards, showing etiquette, and MLS system. New Members will receive training on the aforementioned subjects, along with a Missouri REALTORS® portion. REALTORS® must complete the NAR Code of ethics course, and submit the completion certificate to firstname.lastname@example.org prior to attending orientation. Per TLBOR Bylaws, it is mandatory that new members attend orientation within 60 days of joining the Board. Orientation is held at the Board Office from 8:30 AM- 3:30 PM, every month.
Primary membership is an accounting term indicating that you are paying your National and State dues through that particular REALTOR® association. What does Secondary Membership mean?-Secondary membership means that you are already paying your national and state dues with another local REALTOR® association. Therefore, you only have to pay the local dues with your secondary Board. (You will need a letter of Good Standing from your Primary Board to have State & National Dues waived)
A REALTOR® Emeritus is any person who has held membership in the National Association as a REALTOR®, REALTOR-ASSOCIATE®, or a combination of both, for a cumulative period of 40 years in one or more Associations of REALTORS®. Upon approval by the Board of Directors of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®, no further payment of dues is necessary to the Local Board, Missouri Association, or the National Association.
From the time your application is received by us, it generally takes approximately 24-48 hours for completion. The application is submitted to our CEO for approval, then you will be contacted to set up a new member appointment.
At your new member appointment, you will receive a packet full of your TLBOR member information, your scheduled orientation date, and your state & local new member benefits. This is also when you will pay your joining dues & MLS fees. Once you have paid, your application is then submitted to Missouri REALTORS®, where they will assign you a NRDS# (National Realtor Database System #)- This is your identification # for your transactions & membership within the Board. Please note that we are not able to add a new member to the MLS, or assign a Supra EKey, until the NRDS# has been assigned.
If you have not received your license yet, we can accept your Temporary Work Permit from the MREC. Please submit this with your application for membership.
Every year, TLBOR has Continuing Education classes taught by various MREC certified instructors. Generally, we offer courses in the Spring and early Fall. There will be classes for Core credit hours, and Elective credit hours. Any courses we have scheduled will be posted & emailed out to the membership, with registration details. We do our best to ensure that courses are offered before the license renewal deadline.
Since 1969, the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) has promoted the election of pro-REALTOR® candidates across the United States. The purpose of RPAC is clear: REALTORS® raise and spend money to elect candidates who understand and support their interests. The money to accomplish this comes from voluntary contributions made by REALTORS®. These are not members’ dues; this is money given freely by REALTORS® in recognition of how important campaign fundraising is to the political process. RPAC doesn’t buy votes. RPAC enables REALTORS® to support candidates that support the issues that are important to their profession and livelihood.
